Arnesby Village Hall |
|
Annual General Meeting |
Notes |
| An important item on the agenda for the
meeting was to decide on the options for developing the hall over the
next year or so. Two projects were considered; an ambitious plan to extend the hall towards the school to provide a ground floor meeting room and access to the first floor and secondly, to completely refurbish the kitchen. Christine Coles had been leading a working party that was formed to consider the design and cost implications of refurbishing the kitchen and she reported the group's proposals to the meeting. The Committee decided to go ahead with the kitchen redevelopment with the expectation that it would be completed before the next May Fayre. The plans were to be circulated to interested parties in the village for their comments and replies to this survey would be required by the end of January. However, the costs involved would probably use up the available funds and it was agreed to shelve the plans to extend the hall for the time being. The project to improve the access ramp to the Hall is to go ahead as it has been financed by a grant from the Lottery fund. This work is also to be completed before the next May Fayre. TPE |
