The cross country race was started in 2000 by Dave Hogg and he organised the race at every May Fayre until 2011. A shorter race for juniors was held for the first time in 2003 over a 1.5 mile course to Shearsby. There is an entry fee and prizes are awarded to the winners of various categories.

The organisation of the 2014 race was undertaken for the second time by Keith and Jane Palmer with help from Pete Turner and Monica and John Dowson and many others who helped as marshalls.

2015 Race - 25 May
The race went very well this year with a total of 53 entrants, the course being shortened at the last minute to 4.25 miles due to the discovery of badger sets.  A big thank you to all runners, marshalls and organisers who made the race happen once again. Full results»
