The lastest fundraising buffet at Little India raised
around £2,100 for the two charities involved; Children with Leukaemia
and Touraid. Over 70 people enjoyed a buffet meal and then generously
supported an auction raising £1,500. Three
Leicester Tigers stars, Lewis Moody and the Tuilagi brothers, Henry and
Alesana came to the event and donated some valuable items to the auction
including a British Lions shirt from 2005 and an England training shirt
from Lewis and a signed ball from Alex and Henry. A villa holiday in Portugal, a Leicester City shirt and tickets for a City match were among other popular prizes donated by villagers to the raffle. Click on the charity logos to learn more about their work..  |
